Career Employment Pathway

The Manitoba Career Employment Pathway, in particular, is geared towards foreign nationals who have recently completed their studies at a post-secondary educational institution in Manitoba and are presently employed in the province in an in-demand occupation:

Program Eligibility

Requirement  
Express Entry Profile –         Need not required to be registered under the Federal Express Entry program
Job Offer –         Be currently employed by a Manitoba employer in a job related to their Manitoba education, and

–         Have their job offer for a position classified under TEER 0,1,2 or 3 (Previously National Occupational Classification – NOC Code 0, A, or B), with a minimum 1 Year contract, and

–         Have their job offer for a position included in the Manitoba In-Demand Occupations List.

–         Need not require a job offer if graduated from Masters and Ph.D. programs through the Graduate Internship Pathway.

Level of Education –         Have their program of minimum of 1 year / 2 semesters in length, and completed within the 3 years prior to the application, from a designated post-secondary institution in Manitoba.
Work Experience –         Be currently employed by a Manitoba employer in a job related to their Manitoba education, with a valid work permit at the time their application is assessed.
Language Proficiency –         Demonstrate Level of CLB 7 in either English or French, as per the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB).
Connection to Province –         Demonstrate their connection through their study program completed and employment in Manitoba,
Settlement Funds –         Have sufficient liquid funds that meet the Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) standards set by Canada’s federal immigration authorities, for independent financial resources for a 6 months of period, or

–        Be employed in a full time long term position with a Manitoba employer.

Settlement Plan –         Be residents of Manitoba at the time of application and

–         Demonstrate their intention to remain in the province.

–         Submit a Career Employment Plan – showing opportunities for a successful career track in the province of Manitoba.

Application Procedure

  • Initial Contact : Candidates interested should start by getting in touch with the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) via email at immigratemanitoba@gov.mb.ca.
  • Information Session Invitation: Manitoba will assess qualifications and invite eligible candidates to attend an information session for the MPNP.
  • Information Session: During the information session, candidates will receive a detailed explanation of the application procedure. This session ensures that candidates are well-informed about the process before proceeding with their application.
