International graduates who have their post-secondary education at a recognized Canadian educational institution and have been offered a job or are presently working for an employer in Newfoundland and Labrador could be eligible for provincial nomination.
Candidates to apply under this category must hold Post-Graduate Work Permit – that has at least 4 months of validity remaining at the time of applying.

Job Offer | – Have a full-time job from an eligible employer in Newfoundland and Labrador.
– Have their offered position be related to their field of study, – Meet the experience and education requirements specified in the job description. |
Level of Education | – Have completed post-secondary education at an eligible Canadian Post-Secondary Institution (Outside NL eligible).
– Have their study program be of a minimum duration of two years leading to a diploma, or degree, or a 1 year post graduate degree. – Besides, any additional educational credentials required to carry out the offered job. |
Work Experience | – Be currently working in Canada with a valid Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) at the time of application.
– Have their PGWP of at least six months of validity remaining at the time of applying. – Be required to have at least 1 Year of work experience in their field of study before they are eligible to apply, if the degree or diploma was obtained outside of NL. – Have any additional work experience required to fulfil the requirements of the offered job.
– For Memorial University College of the North Atlantic Graduates – hold a position that is not directly not related to their field of study but meet NOC Code that requires a post-secondary education, corresponding to NOC TEER 0,1,2 or 3 Occupation or TEER 4 (In-Demand) Occupation. In a field they have a recent skill / experience/ training in the last 5 Years, full-time position for minimum 1 Year with possibility of extension. |
Language Proficiency | – Demonstrate sufficient language proficiency to perform the job form the tasks offered.
– Have Canadian Language Bench Mark (CLB) 4, in TEER 4 (In-Demand) Occupations. |
Connection to Province | – Need not require any specific connection to BC
Note that – If the candidates have an ownership stake in the business in which they are employed, their share of ownership cannot exceed 10%.
