Ontario Human Capital refers to a group of immigration streams within the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), which is a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) administered by the province of Ontario. These streams are designed to attract foreign nationals who possess a specific set of skills, experiences, and abilities that align with the needs of Ontario’s labor market. Essentially, Ontario Human Capital comprises five distinct immigration pathways tailored to individuals who are well-suited to contribute to Ontario’s workforce.
OINP Human Capital streams:
- Ontario Human Capital Priorities – Express Entry
- Ontario French-Speaking Skilled Worker – Express Entry
- Ontario Skilled Trades – Express Entry\
- Ontario Masters Graduate
- Ontario PhD Graduate
Successful applicants in any of the Ontario Human Capital streams will be granted an official provincial nomination by Ontario. This nomination is a crucial step that enables applicants to apply for Canadian permanent resident status.
Ontario Human Capital Priorities – Express Entry
One of the streams within Ontario Human Capital is the Ontario Human Capital Priorities stream, which is closely integrated with the federal Express Entry system. To be eligible for consideration in this stream, candidates are required to maintain an active Express Entry profile. Ontario identifies outstanding candidates from the Express Entry pool and extends invitations to them to apply for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
