Tech Talent Pathway (Express Entry)

This category is designed for high skilled technology and innovation sector workers who possess a job offer for a highly skilled occupation in the province of Saskatchewan, either living abroad or in Canada. Refugee claimants are not eligible.

Program Eligibility

Requirement  
Express Entry Profile Required
Job Offer Permanent, full time technology or innovation sector
Level of Education –         Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, or a 3 Years degree or a diploma that requires 2 Years.
Work Experience o   If applying from in Saskatchewan

–         Currently working in SK & have worked 6 months of full-time (Min. 1 Year in the last 5 years if not worked for Min. 6 months)

o   If applying from Outside of Canada

–         1 Year of highly skilled related work experience in the last 5 years in their eligible occupation.

Application Procedure

  • Qualified applicants can submit their applications through the SINP Online Portal, the official platform for SINP applications.
  • There is no fee for the Saskatchewan Employment Offer stream, making it cost-effective for candidates.
  • Successful applicants will receive an email notification from Saskatchewan indicating their provincial nomination.
  • With the provincial nomination certificate in hand, candidates can proceed with their application for Canadian permanent residency.
  • Candidates have six months from receiving the provincial nomination to submit their paper-based application for Canadian permanent residency to the federal government.
  • Federal processing of paper-based permanent residency applications typically takes around 18 months.
