This program is designed to attract skilled workers who have a job offer from a BC employer and possess the necessary skills and qualifications to contribute to the province’s labor force.

Express Entry Profile | – Need not require an Express Entry profile.
– May be able to apply to this stream through Express Entry for expedite processing, if they are eligible for this stream. |
Job Offer | – Have a valid job offer for full-time and indeterminate employment from employer based in British Columbia (BC).
– Have their job offer be at National Occupational Classification (NOC) TEER Skill Level 0,1,2 or 3 (Previously 0, A, or B) – Need their job offer need not to be indeterminate if: o Job offer is in an eligible tech occupation, or o If job offer is in NOC 41200 (University professors and lecturers) and is from a BC public university, and have a Doctoral degree. – Have their wages in line with competitive wages for the respective occupation. – Need not have their job offer supported by a LMIA. |

Work Experience | – Have a minimum of 2 years of full time or its equivalent work experience at NOC TEER 0,1,2 or 3.
– Have the qualifications necessary to effectively carry out the duties associated with the job. – Paid co-op work experience is eligible if paid co-op work term was full time, in a skilled occupation and successfully completed their program of study. |
Language Proficiency | – Have a language proficiency in English or French:
a) For job offer at NOC Skill Level B – CLB 4 or higher b) For job offers at NOC Skill Level 0 or A – Exempted |
Settlement Funds | – Meet the settlement funds requirement set by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
– Can be demonstrated through personal financial resources or by holding a valid offer of employment.Top of Form |
Connection to Province | – Need not be required to prove any specific connection to BC |
Business Requirements | – Have their business be well-established and in good standing in British Columbia.
– Have their business meet the employee requirements: Inside Vancouver: Minimum 5 full-time employees. Outside Vancouver: Minimum 3 full-time employees. – Demonstrate that they made genuine efforts to recruit a Canadian candidate for a job position before extending the offer to the foreign candidates. – Need not require to obtain a Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to validate their job positions. |
How to Apply:
- Candidates register on BC’s online portal, specifying Express Entry or Skills Immigration.
- Candidates receive scores, ranked using BC’s Skills Immigration Ranking System.
- Highest-ranked candidates receive periodic invitations.
- Invited candidates submit a complete application within 30 days.
- Application fee to be paid by the applicant.
- Approved candidates receive a provincial nomination for permanent residence.
- Optional: Request a letter of support for a work permit.
- Express Entry applicants get a nomination, increasing CRS score by 600 points.
- Submit an official application within the designated timeframe.
