Skilled Worker Applicants
with Employer Support

The Program caters to highly skilled foreign workers holding job offers in the province. Those selected gain a chance at Canadian permanent residence, as their applications are directly forwarded to IRCC. This stream has been created for both people living overseas or temporary residents in Canada wishing to permanent resident in New Brunswick.

Program Eligibility

Requirements  
Express Entry Profile –         Need not to be enrolled in the federal Express Entry pool.
Age –         Be between the ages of 19 and 55 Years.
Job Offer –         Have a valid job-offer from an eligible New Brunswick employer.

–         Have the Job offer at TEER 0,1,2 or 3 (Previously National Occupational Classification Skill Levels 0, A, or B) and certain TEER category 4 and 5 occupations.

–         Demonstrate that they have been interview hired by their employer.

Level of Education –          Have at least a high school diploma for education completed after junior / middle school before collage, university.

–          Have any additional education, qualification, or licenses required to perform the duties of the job offered.

Work Experience –          Have sufficient work experience to perform job offered
Language Proficiency –          Demonstrate language proficiency at level 4 of the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) in either English or French, for TEER category 4 and 5.
Connection to Province –          Need not require any specific connection to the province.
Employer Requirements –         Have a valid job offer from an eligible New Brunswick Employer.

 

–         Have their job-offer from the employer of full-time, indeterminate position with a wage that meets industries standards.

 

–         Have their job offer from a business in operation for a minimum 1 year.

 

–         Have their employers demonstrated that they were unable to fill the position with a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Family Living in New Brunswick You or your spouse/common-law partner, has a son, daughter, brother, sister, mother, father, child, grandparent, aunt, uncle, niece or nephew living in New Brunswick as a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, for the 12 months prior to submitting an application. 5

Education in New Brunswick You have completed at least two years of post-secondary education from an accredited institution in NB, 10
You have completed at least one year of post-secondary education from an accredited institution in NB 7
Employment in New Brunswick You have worked in NB for at least two of the last five years, with a valid work permit or authorisation to work in Canada 10
Your employer has a positive LMIA on which your job offer is based, or your occupation is exempt from needing an LMIA, or 8
You have worked for at least one of the last five years in NB 7
You are an international student graduate from a post-secondary institution in New Brunswick with at least six months work experience in province, including work experience obtained while a student. 7

Application Procedure

  • Application Open Year-Round: This stream accepts applications at any time.
  • Application Fee: Each applicant is required to pay a $250 CAD application fee.
  • Application Submission: Applicants must submit a complete application for provincial nomination through the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program.
  • Notification of Success: If the application is successful, the applicant will receive a notification of approval.
  • Permanent Residence Evaluation: The NBPNP will then forward the approved application to IRCC (Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) for evaluation for Canadian permanent residence
  • Processing Time: Paper-based applications for permanent residence through provincial nomination are typically processed within 18 months.
